News for 2021 from the Colchester Chamber Choir...

Welcome to Colchester Chamber Choir

2021 plans

We hope to perform again in the summer/autumn, with a series of a cappella recitals, to be followed up later in the year, or early 2022, with a much more ambitious concert of sumptuous, grand, French Baroque music from the time of Louis XIV – with soloists and orchestra. This will be a concert you shouldn’t miss and will hopefully signal the return to more confident music making for both us and our audiences.

Rachmaninoff Vespers on YouTube

Watch our performance of the ‘Rachmaninoff Vespers’ in the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Norwich, from October 2019.

If you were able to be there you may like to revisit the occasion and if you weren’t, we do hope you will enjoy this live performance recording. You must imagine the cathedral in complete darkness apart from a few candles and the light from the choir’s music stands. It was a very special occasion for us and we hope you will enjoy the performance.
